I really like high definition. A lot of people couldn’t care less if their television and movies are in 480p, 720p, 1080i or 1080p – I am not one of those people. I not only know the difference between 1080i and 1080p but have even convinced myself that I can see the difference. So when the high definition revolution began, I was sure to be at the forefront
I currently have over 70 Blu-ray movies. I enjoy watching movies on Blu-ray because of the visual and audio quality. On a nice high definition television, it’s easy to see the difference between a normal DVD and a Blu-ray. Compared to a DVD, a Blu-ray is more vibrant, the images have more depth and everything just seems clearer.
I want Blu-ray Jesus.
Blu-ray Jesus is vibrant. Blu-ray Jesus brings depth and purpose to my life. Blu-ray Jesus makes everything clearer.
Sometimes life can be a little fuzzy.
Maybe you feel like the church in Ephesus and have forsaken your first love; your love for Jesus once burned like the fires of Mordor but lately has felt more like Hoth.
Maybe you’re stuck in a job that sucks your life away like the machine in The Princess Bride, but you don’t know to stay or quit.
Maybe you’re looking at your future but you’re more confused about the choices you have to make than you were about the plot of Transformers 2.
When life is fuzzy we need Bu-ray Jesus because he will completely transform our lives. Sometimes, though, we only want DVD Jesus or VHS Jesus. They don’t provide as much vibrancy, purpose or clarity, but they also don’t require as much. If we want the full vibrancy, purpose and clarity that Jesus offers, we need to consistently draw near to him and sit at his feet. It’s only when we intentionally abide in Jesus that he brings new meaning and definition into our lives. When we wholeheartedly invest into our relationship with Jesus, he turns from a distant, fuzzy VHS Jesus into an imminent, high definition Blu-ray Jesus.
What do you do to deepen your relationship with Jesus and bring more vibrancy, purpose and clarity to your life?
God already gave us blu-ray Jesus. It’s called the Eucharist. 🙂
I couldn’t agree more. You are the only other person I’ve come across to use that term. Check out my e-book coming out later this month…I think you will like the title… “Bluray Jesus” (Should be out before Christmas)
