In “From the Blog” they talk about Jeremy Renner’s use of the word “slut” to describe Black Widow. Scott and Ron don’t take too kindly to Renner’s choice of words and have a discussion about honoring and empowering women everywhere, even in comic books. Ron introduces the brand new segment “Technically Ron,” in which he discusses Apple’s interest in reigniting Beats Music. Finally, Scott and Ron share the “Tweet of the Week” and close out the show.

So glad you both are doing this podcast, it is excellent. So many good points and topics for conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.
I also thought it was crap about black widow being called a “slut”, like seriously? If anything, if she is flirtatious, it’s a strategy. I don’t know much about black widows lore, but Im assuming her name has something to do with that. Sure she is sexy, but I feel society automatically equates sexy to being “slutty”, yet no one comments on Thor showing his body off, lol. I was waiting for Ron to comment on the spider-woman comic cover, if you both haven’t seen it, you should check it out, i’d be curious to hear your thoughts.
And Scott, the home depot lowes thing, is totally me. I’d just rather leave. Those places are too big and intimidating. I did not know about this app…so thank you haha.
