The Christian Nerd Podcast is back and hoping to encourage you today. Scott starts the show by talking about his week and trying to find a house. He looks at trailers for Picard and Terminator: Dark Fate in Nerd News. We all need a little encouragement, so Scott has a Countdown of encouraging characters with whom he like to hang out. And Jesus Time is all about how someone encouraged Scott with a small, simple question.

Thanks to Nick for The Christian Nerd theme music.
I, too, am very excited for “Picard.” And I am intrigued by the Terminator movie. I am not a big fan of the whole franchise and have not seen most of it beyond the first two movies, but I do recommend you see T2. A boy and his killer robot – what’s not to love? And “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” series was quite strong, too (with awesome music by Bear McCreary of BSG, to boot) – very compelling performances from Lena Headley.
You are SO right about the Thirteenth Doctor. She is super big-hearted and encouraging and positive, which I suppose will inevitably change because all the modern Doctors seem to get darker as they go on (except the Twelfth, who actually got a lot lighter as he did). But it’s been nice, especially since she is my daughter’s first Doctor. (Since then we’ve watched some of Eccleston, all of Tennant, and a season and a half of Smith).
Hope the house works out! Sounds nice and I can attest from experience that a 4-minute commute to work is quite nice. 🙂
Good podcast, Scott!
G’day Christian Nerd. Just stumbled onto your podcast.
I can’t wait for Star Trek Picard. December seems such a long way away. The kids will be like “I can’t wait for Christmas, Dad” and be “Oh yeah. Christmas is coming. I’m excited for Picard.”
Broadchurch is awesome, and in defence of Jodie Whitaker’s “mean lady” she’s playing a mother whose son is murdered, so she’s not exactly at her best. lol.
Anyway, cool podcast. As the terminator would say, “I’ll be back.”
