That Neil Postman quote is great! As they say, “That’ll preach.” 🙂
Enjoyed your overview of what’s coming on Disney+. Am I a bad nerd for not being excited about “Hawkeye”? I may end up watching it – I’ve seen every other MCU series so far and have ended up enjoying all of them more than I thought – but I expect I’ll be more keen to watch “Book of Boba Fett.” I think the underwhelming way Hawkeye was handled in the MCU movies (excepting “Endgame,” which used him pretty well) made me just not that intrigued by him.
Besides, I still have to catch up on Shang-Chi… and Black Widow… and (for shame) Captain Marvel for that matter!
Also appreciated your “Jesus time” message. Very good application of Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians. I know I feel tempted to be idle (usually in front of a screen) in my free time, so its nice to be reminded all time is God’s time, and God calls us to use it as constructively and redemptively as we can.
Enjoy Thanksgiving week with your family!
Thanks for the thoughts, Mike.
Hawkeye snuck up on me, but I’m really excited to see Kate Bishop enter the MCU.
I feel like my entire life is spent trying to find what is beneficial and constructive while also being distracted by those things that aren’t. Thankfully, as always, grace abounds for the moments when I’m less constructive than I’d like to be.
