Today is Good Friday. The day Christians reflect upon Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It’s an important holiday but ultimately fairly depressing.
Really, Good Friday is The Empire Strikes Back of holidays. Both are a little depressing and both leave you wondering if things are going to turn out all right.
To compare the two, let’s check out the tale of the tape.

Even though The Empire Strikes Back wins more categories, I’m still going to have to say that Good Friday is more important. Boba Fett’s awesome and Lando is totally smooth, but salvation and reconciliation to God is a lot more important.
Maybe Return of the Jedi will have a better chance against Christ’s Return.
How does Good Friday make you feel? Depressed? Guilty? Thankful?
Pontius Pilate wasn’t a bad guy. He was just trying to prevent a riot from breaking out in Jerusalem. Caiphas was the one who lied and produced false witnesses and did all the bad crap. Pilate was just a pencil-pusher in a government post who had to do his job at the end of the day.
